About Bruce Little

Meet Storyteller and Modern Mystery Author Bruce Little

Discover stories inspired by real life, family, and a love for mystery.

Bruce Little is a storyteller, and also the best mystery writer out of West Haven, Connecticut. He tells people he is just a regular nine-to-five worker, you know. He says he started writing as a way to poke at his creativity, and see what would happen. His earliest experience really goes back decades ago, when he worked for a local underground magazine as a music critic. Back then he interviewed local talent , and he pushed their stories into print.

Later on, he sort of drifted back into writing after he rediscovered an old notebook, the kind with an early version of his story in it. And then, with encouragement from his granddaughter who took an active interest in reading, he finished his first book. After that, the whole thing kept moving, and he went on to complete a four-book mystery saga.

His books include Big Business Is Murder, Nobody’s Business, Business As Usual, and Out of Business. Bruce Little’s mystery author writes mystery stories that are connected in sequence, following characters and events across the series. His writing focuses on readability and is designed so readers can enjoy the story in one sitting.

His Writing Journey and Storytelling Style

Bruce Little’s writing journey began many years ago when he worked as a music critic for a local underground magazine. In that role, he interviewed local talent and shared their stories through print. This early experience shaped his interest in storytelling and observation.

His first book began as a notebook that followed him for many years. Later, he found the notebook along with a floppy disk containing his story, transferred it to digital form, and continued developing it. Inspired by his granddaughter’s interest in reading, he completed his first published book, Big Business Is Murder, and went on to write a full four-book mystery series.

His books follow connected mysteries across multiple stories, beginning with Big Business Is Murder and continuing through Nobody’s Business, Business As Usual, and Out of Business. The series follows recurring themes and characters across different stages of their journeys. He writes with a focus on readability, creating stories that readers can complete in a single sitting.
